An extension to the summer reading program?

July 19th, 2010 by annej

I had been getting some questions as to whether I would be willing to extend the Adult Summer Reading Program for another week or more. How does everyone feel about that? I am willing to listen to comments on extending the program for an additional week. If I receive more posts that the original dates are preferable just let me know.

I am reading everyone’s posts and hard-copy reviews. It is thrilling to see so many new titles being recommended.

Don’t forget! Just for signing up you will receive a free prize. If you haven’t signed up yet there is plenty of time to submit your reviews for eligibility for the grand prize.

Welcome to the 2010 Adult Summer Reading Program

June 19th, 2010 by annej

We are excited about offering a new way for you to post your book reviews.

There are some rules (not many). Please leave a comment  below to provide us with the name of the book you read and its’ author.  Write at least one paragraph why you liked or loved or even disliked the book but no nasty language please. Comments are moderated by library staff and the library reserves the right to remove comments that are unlawful or off topic.

Each review will count as a raffle ticket that may just be picked for that week’s prize. A maximum of two reviews per person per week will be accepted. The deadline for each week will be Sunday and the Grand Prize will be given out July 31. And no I’m not telling what it is… part of the fun is the surprise.

This blog and our Facebook, Youtube, and Twitter pages are intended to provide a limited (or designated) public forum to facilitate the sharing of ideas, opinions and information about library-related subjects and issues.

Please be aware that the opinions expressed in this blog are not necessarily those of the East Hampton Library. However, they just might contain interesting and even fascinating points of view.

Blog on and Keep Those Reviews Coming! You just might win !!!
